1914. A world changed and Christopher Brythelwaite, the Englishman’s Englishman, is dispatched to Denmark to monitor German pastry ships.

A story told between England and Denmark, The Spy by the Sea is a short film which explores the opening of the First World War and a naive Englishman sent on a nonsense spy mission into a world which he does not understand.
